Reunion Notes
The 1997 Hoppe Family Reunion was held on Sunday July 27 at Doniphan, Nebraska. A total of 63 people were in attendance.
Among those attending for the first time were: Viola Kirby of Bloomington, Indiana and Ruth S. Vogel of Peoria, Illinois. Viola is a granddaughter of F.C. and Agnes Hoppe and was brought by her children, Dawn Wright, Jack Kirby and Carolyn Sumner. Ruth is a granddaughter of August Hoppe and was brought by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Del Nack.
After the noon pot-luck dinner, a short meeting was held where officers were elected. Association officers chosen for the 1997-98 year were:

Dick Hoppe, Vice Pres.
Nancy Lowe, Sec-Treas.
It was announced that the 1998 reunion will be held at the Community Center in Fairbury, Nebraska on Sunday July 26, 1998.
The idea of a Hoppe Family Cookbook was presented by Sharla Rader. She is organizing this cookbook and would like to include recipes that you have used in your family and especially those that have been passed down through generations. If you have recipes that you would like to contribute, return them along with your name and address to:
